Sangiovese 2022 / Aged 16 Months

This is an estate grown blend of primarily Sangiovese, combined with Nebbiolo, to create a traditional Italian Barbaresco/Barolo-style blend. The 2022 vintage follows right behind our inaugural 2021 vintage with a very similar flavor profile of black stone fruit flavors, showcasing vibrant acidity and refined tannins, thanks to its meticulous aging process in a mix of 50% new French oak and seasoned American oak barrels. The French oak lends a smooth, cohesive tannin structure, enhancing the wine’s depth and complexity, while the American oak contributes subtle layers of spice and warmth. The result is a wine with an elegant balance between fresh acidity and well-integrated tannins, making it both approachable and full of character. This intensely flavorful wine pairs well with hearty and savory dishes.
