Estate Grown 100% Petit Verdot, originally planted in our vineyard in 2003 with additional vines added in 2012. Petit Verdot (“peh-tee vur-doe”) is a full-bodied red varietal that originated in the Bordeaux region of southwestern France. Not often produced as a single-varietal wine, this commonly used blending grape has notable, structured tannins and is deep purple in color with typical aromas of blackberry and violet. This vintage is a characteristically classic Petit Verdot, featuring just a nostaglic hint of classroom pencil shavings on the nose.
