Tasting notes
The old vine Zinfandel leads the way with fresh ripe raspberry, blackberry, and black cherry, accompanied by hints of spice and violets from the Carignan. The Petite Sirah and Syrah add color, depth, and a touch of dark chocolate. Peloursin, one of the parent grapes to Petite Sirah, adds a touch of earthiness and floral notes. The palate is juicy and balanced, with smooth tannins and a pop of fresh acidity, especially notable due to the short 10-month barrel aging profile of this wine.
